On 22 August and again on 12 September 2013 Robert performs with the Southern Cross Philharmonia to present works by known and some lesser known Australian composers, amongst more standard repertoire fare. He leads the cello section of this string ensemble in performances at Melba Hall, University of Melbourne.

A fund raiser for the orchestra will be held at The Savage Club, 12 Bank Place Melbourne on 25 June 6:30-8:30 featuring Robert in collaboration with Aaron Barden, violin I, Elisabeth Welsh violin II, Christian Read, viola.
